Canadian Idol does it again, although for awhile there I wasn't sure who I was rooting for. Some of my original picks had been voted off, and at one point, nobody really stood out.
Then, Brian Melo sang Kharma Police by Radiohead.
I was smitten...(a) because I like that song, and (b) because of the way that Melo performed it. He has a raspy, raw, powerful voice. He is also very humble. He acknowledges his roots and his family for his success so far. Like the infamous Taylor Hicks and Fantasia, I would buy his music.
Now, I have to admit that I did have a small soft spot for the other contestant....Jaydee Bixby, the 17 year old with another powerhouse voice. He sings with a country twang, and performs for seniors (he can't be all bad then, can he?), but there was something that I wasn't comfortable with...maybe the fact that I would never buy anything that he would release. Pretty good reason for me.
So another season ended last night with the king being crowned. Performers such as Bon Jovi was also on the show (pretty amazing band...and their music is widely used in our Body classes), Avril Lavigne (such a cutie), and Eva Avila, last year's Canadian Idol, .....and wow has she matured...luv her.
So, congrats to our new Canadian Idol! Can't wait for American Idol now!

I love Karma Police, in general, I'm not a bit Radiohead fan but that song is great. Not many people could pull it off either as the lead singer for Radiohead has such a unique voice.
Oh, I like this song. I hope they have this performance on YouTube.
We still have quite a wait for American Idol. *Sigh*
