The Day That Never Ends

Our Silver Anniversary seems to continue on. Yesterday, there was a flower delivery, and of course cards. We went to one of the more upscale restaurants for a special dinner, and then came home. Ma Petite Cousine called, and it was good to be able to speak with her last night.

It's really kind of neat. People think it's a big deal to reach 25 years. I guess it is in this day and age, where disposable marriages are commonplace. Sure it takes a bit of work, mixed with some patience and understanding, but it's not a totally belaboured ordeal.

We just get along well. We are two peas in a 25 year old pod.

Today, I was informed that there is another flower delivery coming this afternoon. How cool. It's nice to have flowers for this type of occasion.

Question I throw out here: is there some hard-and-fast etiquette about people observing other peoples' wedding anniversaries? Because in my books, it's an important date for those who are married, but less so for the rest of us. Personally, I find it enough to keep up with birthdays and holidays, and for the life of me I could not tell you the wedding dates of anyone in the family.

So, if maybe you were expecting a card, sorry... :)
