Not Really Feeling It

The season has suddenly switched. We just finished Halloween, not even 2 weeks ago, and already, some of the homes in our area have sprouted Christmas lights....and red ribboned bells. The gym has some Christmas decorations at the entrance.

I have to say, I am not feeling it. Not yet anyway. Maybe it's because Remembrance day was just yesterday, but to be fair, US Thanksgiving hasn't even arrived yet, and neither has December.

Very soon, we will have snow, and that usually spawns more of a Christmasy feeling. But right now all I can say is 'bah humbug.'

I say "Bah, humbug" to Christmas even at Christmas time. LOL

I'm trying to get myself in a "holiday mode" by doing all this embroidery stuff but that is only because, as you know, it takes a long time to make these things and I need all the time I can garner there. I did buy Christmas cards about 3 weeks ago at a store near here but there again, as slow as I am about addressing and mailing them, again -I need all the help and time I can get!

Bah Humbug indeed! I can't believe they are starting so early. I'm over it already!

It takes me forever to get the Christmas spirit that it seems others have. Sometimes it just misses me completely.

I have gotten over half my shopping done, so that's something. I guess?
